The Freedom Issue, our 12th issue, pays homage to freedom of thought and expression. Our aim is to highlight the controversial issues that affect our generation from human rights to politics and spirituality, amongst other topics. With each article of this issue, we hope to challenge our readers to open their minds to broader ways of thinking. The Swahili word for Freedom is Uhuru. We chose this as our tagline to show that the idea of freedom is not a solely Western concept, but one born within each of us.
