About the designer

Raised in Libya and living in Canada, Marim is a jewelry designer who handcrafts jewelry pieces that combine tradition and modernism. Her passion for jewelry grew from her grandmother who encouraged her to explore art and continue with her passion in an industry that is dominated by men in Libya. Marim uses jewelry as a medium to tell stories and present heritage. Her inspiration comes from Libyan, African and Mediterranean cultures and history which she employs in most of her work.
